God’s goodness and faithfulness will follow us all the days of our lives!

Read:

Psalm 23:6 (AMP): “Surely goodness and mercy and unfailing love shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell forever [throughout all my days] in the house and in the presence of the Lord”.

Act:

Let us be determined this week to keep declaring the following truths over ourselves and our loved ones:

Jesus protects us, gives us comfort and encourages us to persevere. Regardless of what 2021 may hold… we have already won, because we have Jesus on our side! He has already conquered the world!
Our Lord loves to bless us and set us apart for His glory. May we never cease praising God for His favour and blessing upon our lives. But may we also extend that which has been freely given to us – to be a blessing to those around us.
Our Lord’s goodness, mercy and faithfulness are new every morning. Let us never miss an opportunity to experience the goodness and closeness of our Father God. May our highest priority for 2021 be to dwell in the presence and love of our Heavenly Father.

Pray:

You [LORD] prepare a feast for me in the presence of my enemies.
Oh father, we glorify You for all that You have done for us in this crazy year of 2020! Thank You that no matter what challenges we faced, You were always there, and You have continued to help us shine and be set apart for You. We give You praise because You are good and worthy of our worship! Thank you for Your protection Lord, and thank You that we can cast all our anxieties, worries or fears onto You. Thank You for choosing us to sit at Your table and for the joy of being comforted and encouraged by You.

You [LORD] honour me by anointing my head with oil. My cup overflows with blessings.
Thank You Father, that You have blessed us with gifts and talents and purpose! Help us to use what You have given to us, to bless others in the desperate and needy world around us! Let us be children who are found in Your presence, filled to overflowing with the fullness of who You are! We long to know You more. Give us Holy Spirit revelation as You open doors of opportunity to share the gospel everywhere that we go, so that we may be good stewards of our faith. Thank You for giving us favour and for blessing us. Thank You that we are blessed, so that we can be a blessing to those around us.

[AND] surely, Your goodness and unfailing love [LORD] will pursue me all the days of my life.
Thank You Lord, that Your goodness is always available to us. Thank You that we do not need to strive or earn it, but that You love us so much that You freely give it to us! Thank You Father, that You cannot love us any more or any less. We are grateful that we are accepted and loved just as we are! Father God, we praise You for Your goodness and Your mercies that are new every morning. Thank You that You are always with us, until we take our last breath. We take great comfort in knowing that our hope is found in You.

And I will live in the house of the Lord forever.
Lord, we long to be in Your presence! Our hearts yearn for You daily, give us a hunger and an unquenchable thirst to be still in Your presence as we spend time with You each day. Help us to be fully satisfied in You and not in the things of this world. Keep our eyes fixed on You, Jesus, as we journey deeper and deeper in our relationship with You! Help us Lord, to keep an eternal perspective in all that we experience – knowing deep in our hearts that we do not live for this world, but for eternity in heaven with You! Thank You Father, for such an amazing year of new vision, and a 20/20 check on the true conditions of our hearts, our faith, our families and our priorities. Help us Lord to take all that we have learnt into 2021 and to not go back to our old ways! Lord, we ask that You will bless us, and continue to lead us and keep us on Your path – so that our lives may glorify and honour Your name always! May we find You as we wholeheartedly seek You!

Father God, help us to be joyful in hope, patient in affliction and faithful in prayer. Lord, we will stand in awe of You, because we know that it is in Your LIGHT, through Your GRACE, that we have HOPE! And now Heavenly Father, may I ask You to bless us and keep us. Oh Lord, please make Your face shine upon us and please be gracious to us. Please turn Your face toward us and give us Your peace. You God, deserve all praise and glory, and wisdom and thanks and honour and power and strength for ever and ever. Amen.
