A pure heart to shine God’s light…

Read:

 Psalm 51:10-12 (NIV): “Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Do not cast me from Your presence or take Your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of Your salvation and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me.”

Act:

Let us be determined this week not only to pray, “God examine my heart”, but also to allow God to refine and change us from the inside out. If our inside world – our minds and hearts – are right before God, then we will see Him in the outside world (Matthew 5:8). That is what will enable us to step into our calling to be a source of light, pointing others to the only true source of life!

In order for our hearts to be purified and our spirits renewed, we need to:
Ask God to draw close to us and reveal Himself to us as we surrender our lives to Him.
Let God fill us with His light – the truth of His Word – so that our lights will shine brightly for His Kingdom purposes.
Commit to obediently walk, step by step, as God leads us, trusting Him for wisdom and good discernment in all aspects of life.
Allow His Holy presence to consume our entire lives as we remain in Him, wait on Him and stand in awe of Him.

Pray:

Abba Father, our Redeemer, the Creator of heaven and earth, the mighty King, our Alpha and Omega, the Author and Finisher of our faith. Thank You that You are the great I AM! You are truly enough. Forgive us for each time that we have forgotten that. You are greater than what we face. Help us to renew our minds to remember that You are our Lord; that You are God almighty; and that You are enough. Help us to go beyond believing and reminding ourselves, and to speak this truth to help others that struggle as we do. (Zilke)

Thank You Abba Father, for the gift of Your Word. Help us to dig into Your Word for the treasures You want us to learn, and for that which is good and worthy of praise. Let our hearts be filled with goodness and mercy all day long. Help us to be Your light in the world, help us to come to the Source and get wisdom from You Lord. (Taschja)

Lord, we invite You to come… come and search our hearts. Come and examine us thoroughly, and expose everything that is hidden that is not of You. Put us to the test Lord, so that we may be put back on the path that leads us straight to You. (Nicole)

Lord, I ask that You bring to the surface of our hearts anything that is dimming our light, that is causing load-shedding in our lives, and hindering Your light from shining through us. I ask that everyone that hears this message will open their hearts to allow You to filter Your light through them. I pray they will shine brightly – so that those who are still in darkness and looking for hope, light, love, peace and joy – will see this light-house shining, and be enabled to steer their life-ships towards You. May they find the true source of light, love and life. (Janine)

Lord, we are not worthy to stand in Your presence. Our words are few. Actually, we do not want to speak; we just want to stand here in awe of all that You are. We are waiting on You; for in this moment of waiting and silence, Your holy presence consumes our entire lives. And even if the fig tree does not blossom, You give us a new song. In this waiting, we truly meet You face-to-face; and we cannot help but praise and worship You in all we do. Lord, we want to remain in You, to wait on You, to stand in Your holy presence, to discover You anew, and to fall in love with You all over again. Amen. (Carli)
