The faithful King of our hearts!
Read:
Matthew 6:31-33 (NLT): “So don’t worry about these things, saying, ‘What will we eat? What will we drink? What will we wear?’ These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs. Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and He will give you everything you need”.
Act:
Let us be determined this week to:
Pursue the presence of our Heavenly Father above all else. Because of the sacrifice of Jesus and the gift of the Holy Spirit, there is no barrier between us and our Heavenly Father! Let’s wholeheartedly draw closer to God and place Him first in all areas of our lives; trusting in His plan and purpose for us, our loved ones and the generations to come.
Trust God! No matter what we are facing, let us keep praying and trusting that our Lord hears every cry and knows the desires of our hearts. Let us not grow weary or lose heart as we wait for God’s provision, restoration, healing, or breakthrough. Let’s TRUST that our Lord will sustain us in all seasons. Let’s not get stuck in the familiarity of the past or become idle in a waiting season. Let’s rather keep moving forward based on the strength and direction we receive from the Holy Spirit. Let’s remember that God has already equipped us with all that we need to follow the path He has set before us – He just requires us to TRUST Him and be obedient.
Choose to give God praise and glorify His name in all circumstances. Let us recognise the goodness, love, grace, and blessings of God in our lives; so that our FAITH will remain steadfast and our HOPE will be renewed. We can choose JOY and we can choose to chase after HOPE with FAITH and endurance!
Pray:
Father, thank You for Your goodness and for Your faithfulness. Thank You Lord, that you see us, that You know us, and that You hear us. Thank You for being with us on this journey. I pray Holy Spirit, that You will reveal any ruts that we have fallen into, that we need to start moving out of. Thank You Lord, that You equip us with the strength and the courage we need to gain momentum, so that we can finish the race that You have placed before us and destined for us. Thank You Lord that we can trust in Your goodness. (Jackie)
Father God, please stir our memories: show us what to put down and what to let go. Show us what memories to keep alive, so that the next generation can glorify Your name and follow You with all their hearts, remembering Your faithfulness. (Suria)
Lord, I think so often we rely on the intellect You’ve given us, and on our talents and the things we know we’re good at. We make our own plans. But Lord, let us remember to first come to You. Whatever it is: joy, sadness, frustration, anxiety, our budget … let us first come to You; and talk to You about it. Thank You that You are mighty. Thank You that You hear us. Thank You that we can trust You with all of this. We praise Your Holy Name. (Liezel)
Heavenly Father, Daddy, thank You that each one of us, because of Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit, can come to You and sit on the lap of the King of kings, so that You can restore our hope. Please be with us, and let us give this message of hope to all the people that need it. (Annel)
God, You have promised to be faithful. You have promised to rescue. You have promised to provide for Your people. We have everything we need to live in godliness through Jesus Christ. Help each of us to actively trust for Your provision. We don’t know when it’s going to come, but we know it will come. Help us to keep looking up with expectation; for You are our rescuer and our redeemer. Thank You for Your encouragement today. In Jesus Name. Amen. (Elisabeth)
Amen.
(This WRAP is with great appreciation towards Annel, Suria, Jackie and Elisabeth and Liezel)
