Our God is faithful in every season!

Read:

Psalm 36:5-9 (NIV): “Your love, Lord, reaches to the heavens, Your faithfulness to the skies. Your righteousness is like the highest mountains, Your justice like the great deep. You, Lord, preserve both people and animals. How priceless is your unfailing love, O God! People take refuge in the shadow of your wings. They feast on the abundance of Your house; You give them drink from your river of delights. For with You is the fountain of life; in Your light we see light”.

Act:

Let us be determined this week to:
Trust that God is in control. When we are faced with challenging seasons or difficult circumstances, we often want to take control and rely on our own abilities and strength to get through them. Let’s remember that our Heavenly Father is above and beyond faithful to His Word and promises to us (Deuteronomy 7:9), He has good plans for us (Jeremiah 29:11) and He will never leave or forsake us (Hebrews 13:5)! No matter what season we are going through, let us:
– Have unwavering faith in our Lord.
– Look out for the signs of God’s presence in our lives.
– Notice the miracles in our lives – let’s embrace the memories of our Heavenly Father’s goodness, love, grace, provision and protection to build ‘faith-monuments’ that will glorify our Lord and bless generations to come.
– Surrender all to Him as we allow Him to transform us from the inside out; to fill us afresh with His Holy Spirit; and to renew our minds to take hold of the new opportunities and seasons that He has planned for us.
– Step out and proclaim the Good News, trusting the Holy Spirit to help and lead us as we obediently follow Him.

Pray:

Heavenly Father, I just want to thank You for this opportunity that we have to unite in prayer. We thank You for the different seasons we find ourselves in – for we know that You are in full control and that You are working in and through us in every season. Father, I pray that during this time of change and transition we would all stay united in love and peace. (Falonee)

Wonderful and merciful Father, we thank You for who You are. We thank You for what You do. You have told us that everything works together for the good of those who are in Christ Jesus. That also includes all the difficult seasons. Father, we acknowledge that You are the potter and we are the clay – so help us to be still and know You are God. Mould us to become more and more like You. Help us to be vessels of honour in these difficult seasons – vessels that are useful and that bring glory to You. (Rumbie)

Dear Lord, Holy Spirit, will You please open our eyes, that we may see? Open our ears, that we may hear. Jesus, You died, but rose again. You live. You are busy working out your plans for us and this world. But it sometimes feels as if we have blindfolds on – stumbling through life, searching for meaning. But You are already there… God, Light of this world, light up our perspective, that we may notice the signs of your presence, in and around us. Help us to be sign readers, and sign seekers; and teach us how to interpret what we see. Help us to point each other in the direction You want us to go. We want to see You. (Marike)

Heavenly Father, thank You so much that we can be together. We pray Lord that You will bless us with unity in the Holy Spirit, that You will guide us, and that You will give us wisdom. We pray that we will stop being troubled by fear and anxiety; but that through self-discipline, and getting closer to You, and by being united, we will receive a sound mind and share the good news of Jesus. (Christo)

Jesus, we know that You are the King of kings and the Lord of lords. We know Lord, that You are able to perform miracles bigger than we could ever pray for. We know that You are the miracle-working God, You are the promise-keeper. You are the God that holds the whole universe in Your hands, from the smallest atom to the greatest galaxy – but still Father, You are intently part of our lives, watching us every day. You dreamed about our lives before we were formed. Father, I fully believe that You will show each person listening today, that You are a miracle-working God. That You will give each one “faith-monuments” to look back at, and be strengthened. (Sonja)

“And now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy… To God our saviour, who alone is wise, be glory and majesty, dominion and power both now and forever more” (Jude 1:24-25). Amen. (Rumbie)

Amen.
