A new way!

Read:

Isaiah 43:18-19 (NIV): “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland”.

Act:

Let us be determined this week to:
Allow God to mould and form us, making us new and filling us afresh with His Holy Spirit. The more we learn about ourselves through God’s divine design, the more we’ll be able to know the plans and purposes He has for us. It takes time and dedication to know our Heavenly Father more deeply; and to allow Him to transform our hearts and renew our minds with His truth. Let’s be committed during this season to ask God to break new ground, to plough the fertile soil of our hearts. Let’s fix our eyes on Jesus and keep Him as our anchor, the center of our lives.
Trust that our Lord will provide what we need to obey Him. In order to trust God whole-heartedly we need to submit and surrender every aspect of our lives to Him. This means spending time studying and using His “Instruction Manual” (the Bible) for our journey; spending time listening to what He is asking of us; and being obedient in trusting Him to bring fullness of life to our souls.
Live lives of fruitfulness. God’s Word says that the rains that are sent from heaven will not return without accomplishing the work God intended for it to accomplish here on earth (Isaiah 55:10). Similarly, our lives should keep reflecting God’s desire to bring forth something new. Once we understand our purpose in God’s kingdom, we need to be good stewards with all He gives us. Even if we are in a waiting season for the Lord’s answers, instructions or breakthrough – let us persevere, growing and bearing Kingdom-fruit to the glory of our Heavenly Father.

Pray:

Thank You Lord, for the mighty God that You are. Thank You God that You want to pour out a gift of Your freshness, of Your newness, of Your redemption, of Your restoration, of Your life, of Your person. Thank You that You want to commit to a relationship with us and pour out a fresh revelation of that. (Michael)

Lord, thank You that You reminded us today that You should be the center of our lives. We know and we realise that many times, life just gets to us and we get distracted and forget that you should be at the center. Like Peter, we tend to shift our eyes from You and focus on the storms around us. But today I ask, Holy Spirit, that you will come and strengthen us from within. Help us Lord, to keep You at the center of our lives. (Zach)

Thank You that we can trust You as our Father. Even if things get worse, even if we have to sacrifice things that are important to us, even if we have to climb on an altar ourselves… We will trust You, because You are our Father. (Retha)

Wonderous creative God, You are the great engineer of the universe and author of each one of our lives. I pray that we will look to You to know how best to live our lives according to Your divine design. Thank You that we have the ultimate instruction manual, Your Word, the Bible. May we seek You, and learn to know You and trust You with all our hearts. May we receive Your living waters that are never ceasing – through Jesus who is the way, the truth and the life, forever and ever. (Mary Anne)

Heavenly Father, thank You for this time that You’ve given us. We know it’s a unique period of time but we also know that this is Your day, Lord. We pray that You will help us to be fruitful. Help us to multiply and take what You have given us – and do something with it. Lord, even though we’re in a season of waiting, even though we’re in a season of uncertainty, even though we’re in a season where we are unsure about what’s next, will You help us to be fruitful. (Heinz)

Amen.
