Bless the Lord, O my soul!

Read:

Psalm 103:1-2 (MSG): “O my soul, bless God. From head to toe, I’ll bless His holy name! O my soul, bless God, don’t forget a single blessing!”

Act:

Let us be determined this week to continuously praise our Lord, for He:

Forgives our sins. We can put our past behind us and step into the freedom and hope that Jesus established for us. He has paid the full price for our sin, shame, blame, wrongdoings, iniquities and strongholds. He has clothed us with garments of salvation and covered us with robes of righteousness. (Isaiah 61:10) We are therefore no longer slaves to sin, but children of God! (Galatians 4:7) Let’s praise Him today for His mercy, kindness and compassion!

Heals our diseases. Jehovah Rapha means: “The Lord that heals”. (Exodus 15:26) Our Lord is the Great Physician who heals and restores our physical, emotional and spiritual wounds. Let’s praise Him today for His healing power!

Redeems our lives. Our Lord has rescued us from hell and saved our lives! He is standing next to us, protecting and helping us. He lifts us from the pit and gives us strength to run, to persevere and to finish in victory! (Hebrews 12:1-3) Let’s praise Him today for His saving grace!

Crowns us with love and compassion. God is love. He showers us with His loving kindness – that means His covenant-keeping, unwavering, constant love, compassion, forgiveness and blessing. Let’s praise Him today for His love and favour!

Satisfies our desires. Satisfaction / contentment only comes from being in a right relationship with our Father God, which in turn brings renewal and growth to our lives. Walking closely with our Father gives us hope and freedom; and helps us to live satisfied and fulfilled lives that glorify Him! Let’s praise our God today for His goodness and provision!

Pray:

Heavenly Father, we bless Your holy name. We bow in wonder and love before You! We praise You, with everything that is within us. We celebrate and praise You for the miracles in our lives. We praise You today, for showering us with Your love, mercy, peace, kindness, compassion, goodness and favour. Thank You for being our Saviour and Healer. May our entire beings, all that we are, bless and glorify Your holy name! Amen.
