Connected lives

Read:

Ephesians 4:4-6 (MSG): “You were all called to travel on the same road and in the same direction, so stay together, both outwardly and inwardly. You have one Master, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who rules over all, works through all, and is present in all. Everything you are and think and do is permeated with Oneness”.

Act:

Let us be determined this week to:

Connect with God. Let’s prioritise spending time with our Father God, investing time in His Word, studying His ways and applying Biblical principles to our lives. Let’s connect to our Lord through praise and worship and prayer. Let’s refuse to allow the busyness of life and this season, to interrupt the time we set aside to connect with our Lord.

Connect with others. When we accept Jesus as our saviour and Lord, we become part of God’s family. We are called to travel on the same road, in the same direction. What do you do to connect with others, to care for them and to love them? Reaching out to others is important – particularly in this season. Be intentional about learning from others by asking questions; and also about helping by sharing from your own experiences. Living connected lives means that we share our lives and our faith with others.

Glorify God and advance His kingdom. Living connected lives means we are not focussed on self, but on God and others. Is your life reflecting the beauty of the Gospel? Do others see Jesus in you and working through you? What do you do to play your part in glorifying our Father God and advancing His kingdom? Let’s walk together in one direction, our hope firmly founded in Jesus, shining His light and connecting others to the gospel wherever we go.

Pray:

Father God, You are good and faithful, full of grace and mercy. Thank You for loving us and thank You that we are part of Your family. Give us enough time each day, to truly connect with You. Help us to get out there and run on the road You called us to travel. Help us to be intentional about connecting with others. With humility and discipline, we desire to pour love and care into the lives of those around us. Help us to walk in oneness, our faith and hope firmly founded in You. Let our lives glorify You! We praise Your holy name! Amen.
