It’s in the every day…
Genesis 1:31 (AMP): “God saw everything that He had made, and behold, it was very good and He validated it completely…”
Let us be determined this week to:
Appreciate God’s hand in His creation. Consider Job 12:7-10 (ESV): “But ask the beasts, and they will teach you; the birds of the heavens, and they will tell you; or the bushes of the earth, and they will teach you; and the fish of the sea will declare to you. Who among all these does not know that the hand of the Lord has done this? In his hand is the life of every living thing and the breath of all mankind”. If the beasts, the birds of the heavens, the bushes of the earth, and the fish of the sea know that God is Lord of all, the Creator and Master Artist – how much more should we appreciate God’s hand in all creation? Let’s rejoice daily and worship God for our opportunity to be part of His magnificent big picture. Let’s yield our lives into our Creator’s hands – He knows the plans He has for each one of us. He is the One who created us on purpose and for a divine purpose; and He does all things well!
Experience God’s love through His creation. Paul reminds us in Romans 1:20 (NLT): “For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see His invisible qualities—His eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God”. Do you hear this? Imagine how much God must love us to provide us with so much beauty and blessing. When last did you really take time to appreciate God’s extraordinary creation (you included)? Are we too busy to see His beauty and love in everything around us? We have no excuse for not seeing and knowing God in our everyday lives. My question to you today is: Do you really know God (His characteristics, His power, His nature) – do you see Him in everything He made?
Together with nature, honour and worship God for His creation! As the lyrics of the Hillsong United song say: “If the stars were made to worship so will I. If the mountains bow in reverence so will I. If the oceans roar Your greatness so will I. For if everything exists to lift You high so will I. If the wind goes where You send it so will I. If the rocks cry out in silence so will I. If the sum of all our praises still falls shy. Then we’ll sing again a hundred billion times!” (From: So will I (100 Billion X))
Father God, we honour and worship You. Our hearts overflow with songs of joy! Your greatness goes beyond measure. Your glory is too great to comprehend. You deserve all praise – for You Lord are our Creator-God, the One who spread the splendour of the skies! Breath-taking brilliance and awe-inspiring majesty radiate from Your shining presence. The stunning beauty of Your creation overwhelms us. Together with the skies we sing for joy! From the earth we join the chorus. The oceans thunder and the fields echo this ecstatic praise; until every swaying tree of every forest joins in – lifting up their beautiful songs to You! Father, thank You for magnificent beauty all around us!
