Even If…

Read:

Genesis 50:20 (NLV): “You planned to do a bad thing to me. But God planned it for good.”

Isaiah 43:19 (The VOICE): “Watch closely: I am preparing something new; it’s happening now, even as I speak, and you’re about to see it. I am preparing a way through the desert; Waters will flow where there had been none.”

Ecclesiastes 3:11 (NIV): “He has made everything beautiful in its time.”

Act:

Let us be determined this week to:

Proclaim God’s goodness and faithfulness, even when we can’t see it. The storms of life may try to shake us to the core of our being, yet let us boldly declare today that even if, “The grass withers and the flowers fall, the Word of our God endures forever” (Isaiah 40:8). Let us surrender our fears, doubts and worries to the One who reigns above it all. He is faithful to lead us, strengthen us and sustain us. “The Lord is my shepherd; I lack nothing” (Psalm 23:1).In God’s sovereignty, we find peace; in His love, we find rest.

Trust that God is working all things for our good and His glory. What may seem like a detour can serve His greater purposes, bringing hope and healing. Even when we feel stranded or discouraged, God may be preparing us to make a difference in someone else’s life. He can transform our trials into blessings for others and turn our pain into purpose.

Remember that Jesus is the cornerstone of our lives. As we reflect on how God has carried us through in the past, our faith for today and tomorrow is strengthened.“The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone” (Psalm 118:22). Let us build our lives on Jesus, trusting that even if the enemy intends to harm us, our Father God is with us. He brings beauty from ashes, turning sorrow into joy and despair into hope. May we hold tightly to the truth that, “He who began a good work in us will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus” (Philippians 1:6). Even if we cannot yet see the full picture, we can trust that God is already making everything beautiful in its own time.

Pray:

I love You, Lord. Oh, Your mercy never, never fails me. All my days, I’ve been held in Your hands. From the moment that I wake up, until I lay my head,  oh, I will sing of the goodness of God. And all my life You have been faithful. Yes, God, all my life You have been faithful. And I love You, Lord. And Your mercy never fails me. With every breath that I am able, I will sing of the goodness of God. Yes, because God has restored my life every day, every part of my life that I broke, every bad choice that I made – God still restore my life and my path and my future, because He has a purpose for me and because I have put my life in His hands.

Lord, sometimes we do find ourselves in very difficult situations, situations where it’s difficult to see Your goodness and Your faithfulness. And Lord, we know it’s natural, it’s very human to feel like that. But we ask that You help us today to still see Your hand, to still see Your heart, Lord. Help us to realise that if something is bad for us, someone else may flourish and grow and benefit from it. Help us, Lord, to still proclaim You in the midst of our suffering, in the midst of all those in-between moments where we just don’t know and we’re just not so sure anymore. Help us to stand firm on Your promises, even in the face of doubt, for You are truly a good and faithful Father.

Our Father, who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy name; Thy Kingdom come; Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil, for Thine is the Kingdom, the power and the glory, for ever and ever. Amen.
