A Spirit-filled Life!

Read:

John 16:7 (AMP): “It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper (Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor – Counselor, Strengthener, Standby) will not come to you; but if I go, I will send Him (the Holy Spirit) to you [to be in close fellowship with you].”

John 14:26 (AMP): “The Helper (Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor – Counselor, Strengthener, Standby), the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name [in My place, to represent Me and act on My behalf], He will teach you all things. Let us be determined this week to:

Remember that each of us has received an open invitation to allow the Holy Spirit (God dwelling within us) to become a reality in our lives. He is within us and all around us – a living stream of water, strengthening us, refreshing our souls, and quenching our deepest thirst.
He is:
Our Sanctifier – the One transforming us to be more like Jesus and setting us apart to live holy lives in alignment with God’s will.
Our Counsellor and Helper – the One drawing us into an intimate relationship with our Lord, teaching us to walk in His ways and glorify Him in everything we do.
Our Advocate – the One convincing us of the truth and reminding us of God’s promises and everything the Bible teaches us so that we can stand firm in faith.
Our Comforter and Strength – the One guiding us every step of the way, providing us with wisdom, peace and power to navigate through life.

Decide not to settle for a lukewarm, self-reliant life. Instead, let us open our hearts and allow the Holy Spirit to transform us and lead us into the fullness of what it means to live a God-first, Christ-led, Holy Spirit-inspired

Pray:

Lord, thank You for pouring out Your Holy Spirit upon us and for allowing Your Spirit to live within us. We are so grateful that the Holy Spirit continually transforms us each day, drawing us closer to Your likeness. We pray, Lord, that You would open our eyes to the powerful work of Your Spirit in our lives. Grant us Your perspective so we may see as You see. Guide our steps, and come, Holy Spirit, renew and transform us.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in awe, with hearts full of gratitude for the precious gift of the Holy Spirit. Thank You for sending us a Helper, Comforter, Counsellor, Advocate and Intercessor to be in close fellowship with us. Lord, thank You for not leaving us to navigate this life alone, but for filling us with Your Spirit to guide, teach and strengthen us each day. Holy Spirit, thank You for being our source of wisdom, truth and peace. Father God, please give us a new awareness of Your unfailing presence within us and lead us to live Spirit-filled lives – all for Your glory! Amen.
