Romans 8: The Solution is Living a Life on God’s Terms…

Read:

Romans 8:1 (NLT): “So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus. And because you belong to Him, the power of the life-giving Spirit has freed you from the power of sin that leads to death.”

Romans 8:28 (NLT): “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.”

Romans 8:38-39 (NLT): “And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Act:

This week, let’s focus on applying 3 critical truths for living on God’s terms from Romans 8 to our lives.
Let us:

Believe wholeheartedly that we are forgiven and free from all of our sins because of Jesus! With Christ, there is NO CONDEMNATION. We are totally forgiven of all our sins because we have accepted the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross, as our substitute. Indeed, He is our Saviour! Our personal acceptance of that truth frees us from the power of sin in our earthly life. It promises us the forgiveness of all our sins before God, and it assures us of eternal life without the presence of sin.

Know, without doubt, that every detail in our lives of love for God is worked into something good. On difficult days, when we truly don’t understand what is happening, there is a great promise in Romans 8, verse 28 (NKJV): “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.” Events on their own may seem unpleasant, but as we trust in the Lord Jesus, He will fashion those difficult moments to bring Him glory and to work for our good. It’s His strength in us that helps us to endure. In and through Jesus, we have power to persevere and reach the finish line.

Receive God’s unconditional love, so that we in turn can love others the way Jesus loves us. At the end of Romans 8, we find the powerful reminder that there is NO SEPARATION from the love of God in and through Christ. No matter where we go, no matter what comes upon us in our lives, no matter what we do, we can never ever escape God’s love. It is always with us, through His Holy Spirit. Everything starts and ends with love! In fact, may we never forget that God is love! Because of His unfailing love, we are treasured, chosen and welcomed into His presence through Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour. Nothing, absolutely nothing can ever separate us from the unlimited love of God. May we extend that same life-giving, hope-filled love to others, and freely step into the fullness of who He created us to be.

Pray:

We thank You Heavenly Father for loving us – each and every one of us – every moment of every day. You created us, and we are fearfully and wonderfully made by You. As we open our hands and hearts to accept Your abiding love, please give us the grace to take that love and pour it out to bless others. May we be vessels of Your love. We ask this through Jesus Christ, Your Son, who brought Your love into the world.

Father, I want to thank You for who You are. Thank You for a generation that can serve You Father. Today, I pray for my sisters and brothers, that every one of us will know that we are special to You, and that You love us very much. I pray that we will live out the plan and the purpose that You have for our lives. Hashem Adonai Yeshua, our Messiah. In the name of Yeshua, our Messiah.

Oh Lord, we thank You for Your grace. We thank You for Christ in us. Lord, we don’t feel it always, but it is a reality – it’s no longer us but Jesus in us. Please help us be aware of this truth and live according to it… looking at Your Son, Jesus Christ and not at our weaknesses.

Father God, we just thank You for Your gift of grace, and for Your mercy that You have bestowed upon us. Thank You for Your unconditional love that led You to give Your Son Jesus Christ to die for our sins. Thank You, Lord that we don’t have to fear condemnation. Thank You that we are no longer separated from You because of that. Lord help us. Come and cultivate Your unconditional love within us. Help us to extend grace toward people around us. Help us see people through Your eyes, from Your perspective and with Your love. Lord, be with us, guide us, help us give the gift of grace and shine our lights brightly.

Lord Jesus, we thank You and praise You that we do indeed live in the truth of Romans 8. What powerful promises are declared for us in that chapter of Your Holy Word! We know that through our personal belief and acceptance of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, our sins are truly forgiven. We no longer face condemnation, here or eternally, for sins we have committed. May we live in that freedom! May we dance and sing before You, whether in our minds or in our living rooms. We have much to praise You for… We are no longer condemned, and we can never, ever be separated from Your love. Hallelujah! No condemnation, no separation. We thank You, and we love You! In Jesus’ precious name, Amen.
