The importance of an obedient heart…

Read:

Proverbs 4:23 (AMP): Watch your heart with all diligence, for from it flow the springs of life.

Act:

Let us be determined this week to:

Understand the importance of our hearts. When our hearts are fully committed and devoted to God, we can rely on His plans, His calling and anointing over our lives. We can stand firm on His promises, knowing that there is a blessing in obedience. Let us open our hearts and ask God to do a work of transformation in us – keeping our hearts pure, and our spirits refreshed, and equipping us to walk boldly on the path set before us.

Obediently submit to and follow Jesus, even when it’s hard, or we do not understand. That is how we experience His inexplicable wonders, and it results in our lives radiating His love and joy to all around us. If God calls you today, will your response be, ‘Yes Lord, here I am, use me. I will obediently follow You’?

Pray:

Father God, we are so grateful that You are in our lives, and that You created us. You have enabled your living water to flow from our hearts so that we can reach other people with Your love and joy. Father, I ask that You cleanse us and show us anything that interferes with the walk You have planned for us.

Lord, I just pray that You would help us to submit to You. May we trust You, no matter what our circumstances are, no matter what stage of life we’re in, and whether we have questions or not. I pray that You would help us today to submit to You and trust You.

Father God, thank You so much for Your anointing. Thank You Jesus that You died on the cross, and You rose again, so that we can walk in the victory of what you have done. Thank You Holy Spirit, that we can lean on You when we don’t know what to do. We don’t have to lean on our own understanding; we can access the understanding of the Spirit of God.

Father, would You open our eyes to Your glory and majesty, so that we may be inspired to live a life in relationship with You. May our days be marked by obedience to You and Your perfect, graceful will for our lives. Amen.

Amen.
