God’s plans and purposes…
Read:
Proverbs 3:5 (TPT paraphrased): “Trust in the Lord completely, and do not rely on your own opinions. With all your heart rely on Him to guide you, and He will lead you in every decision you make”.
Act:
Let us be determined this week to:
Be still and know that God is in control. When stressors appear in our lives, it’s part of our nature to either fight, freeze or flee. However, today I have good news. If we prioritise being still in the presence of our Lord, we do not have to react to the circumstances around us. We can choose to simply listen, obey and trust that we serve a good and faithful Father, who holds our lives in His hands. He is the One who fights on our behalf; the One who brings new life and refreshing in our lives; the One who directs our steps. So let us stand firm and allow God to transform our hearts and minds – knowing that He is right beside us – and that His love, strength and grace will sustain us every day.
Obey God’s calling on our lives. Do you believe that you are valuable in the eyes of our Lord? Do you know that when God calls you to a task, He will equip and empower you? Let us step out in boldness, obedient to God’s instructions, and declare with all our hearts: “Here I am Lord, send me.”
Pray:
Abba Father, thank You that all You ask of us is to listen, to trust and to rely on You. That is the basis of our faith. That is the basis of our Christian walk.
Lord, we thank You and praise You as we go through this journey. Please release us from these heavy burdens. We know this time is temporary. Compared to this, eternal life will be light, and it will be full of joy, and we will be with You tangibly. And we already praise You for that Lord. We thank You, and I pray this in the name of Jesus Christ our Saviour.
Thank You that we can just be us, the way You have made us; and that You can use us anytime Lord, to Your honour and glory. So, we come before You today, and we present ourselves to You, and say: “Here I am Lord, use me.”
Our prayer today is that You will be with us, that You will guide us by Your Holy Spirit. Not our will, not our plan, but Your perfect will be done, so that You will be glorified Lord. We just see the mighty hand of God work. We pray this in your wonderful name. Amen.
Amen.
