Pausing to Breathe!
Read:
Ezekiel 37:4-6 (AMP): “…Prophesy to these bones and say to them, ‘O dry bones, hear the word of the Lord.’ Thus says the Lord God to these bones, ‘Behold, I will make breath enter you so that you may come to life’.”
Act:
Pause and breathe God’s beauty, wonder, magnificence, and presence into the core of our being! Breathing comes without effort or intentionality, and is part of our daily living and existence. Without breath in our lungs, we cease living.
It’s the same when it comes to our faith in Jesus and our obedience to God. How often do you intentionally take a moment to breathe and ask God to reduce any stress and anxiety you may be feeling? How often do you ask God to fill your heart and soul with a fresh breath of His Spirit – to refresh, reveal and heal any dry bones in your life?
Let us pause, breathe and allow God to restore wrongdoing, anxiety, or dry areas in our lives; and to fill these areas with His life-giving hope, love and grace!
Pray:
Heavenly Father, come and fill our hearts and souls with a fresh breath of Your Spirit, to renew, reveal and heal the dry bones in our lives. Help us to be deliberate about this daily. When we become overwhelmed, may we pause, breathe and allow You to restore wrongdoings, anxious thoughts or dry areas in our lives; and to fill our hearts with Your life-giving hope, love and grace. Oh Lord, breathe Thy Spirit on me. Teach me how to breathe Thee in. I am breathing every moment, drawing all my life from Thee. Breath by breath, I depend upon Thee. Lord, Thy spirit breathe in me. Amen.
Amen.
