Pausing to REMEMBER…
Read:
Psalm 77:11-12 (AMP): I will [solemnly] remember the deeds of the Lord; Yes, I will [wholeheartedly] remember Your wonders of old. I will meditate on all Your works and thoughtfully consider all Your [great and wondrous] deeds.
Act:
Let us be determined this week to:
Ask God to help us remember that He is great and wondrous.
Past experiences build and mould our character. Such experiences set the trajectory for our destiny. Our past can produce two outcomes: it can either hold us captive or shape us to grow and excel in life. Let us take heart, knowing that Jesus has already overcome our past, present and future. He brings us peace in all things. Let’s take time to look back at God’s goodness in our lives. His plans and purposes for us are marvellous and will prevail forever.
Today, let us pause and remember what God has done in our lives, and how He has carried us through. These are faith-memorials that will last for all eternity.
Pray:
Heavenly Father, thank You that we may pause and remember Your faithfulness and goodness to us. Each of us can testify about how You have met our needs – how You have helped and guided us, how You have answered our prayers, and how You have blessed us and given us peace. Oh Lord, we rejoice over all these faith-memorials in our lives. May they encourage us to remember that You are great and wonderful, especially as we go into a new year. In Jesus’ name, we pray this. Amen.
Amen.
