W@W WRAP – Week 217

Lord, we bring You our families… - I like this definition of family: “A group of people united by certain convictions or a common affiliation”. God created us as relational beings. He loves us unconditionally, and we can extend that love and care to those around us. Family unity and loving relationships are key ways in which we can display our Father’s heart to a lost world. May we choose to put God at the centre, as our strong foundation. He is the source of our love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and discipline when it comes to our home life. (Joshua 24:15)

W@W WRAP – Week 216

The Father’s heart for His church… - The church is the body of Christ. It’s individuals who gather together to hear the word of Truth, accept the gospel of salvation, believe in Jesus Christ as their Saviour, and who are sealed with the promise of the Holy Spirit. May we ask God to use us mightily, to make plain our mission as to playing our part in His church, to be a catalyst of hope and to be relentless in spreading the Good News of the Gospel everywhere we go. (Ephesians 2:10)

W@W WRAP – Week 215

Lord, the world needs You! - There may be uncertainty around us, and at times we may even feel overwhelmed during this season. BUT may the desire of our hearts be for God’s presence to fill our hearts and minds with His GRACE, LOVE, WISDOM and GLORY! Let’s consider how, even in times like this, we can HONOUR and GLORIFY our Father in Heaven. And let’s choose to pray for others – especially our leaders and those in authority during a time like this. Let’s pray like never before… as the world needs our Lord! (Haggai 2:6-7 and 1 Timothy 2:1-4)

Lord, we worship You! - May we choose a posture of WORSHIP this week, as we come together and stand in awe of our Heavenly Father. Let’s honour and praise Him together, giving Him thanks for Who He is. Let’s bow down in worship, kneeling before our Lord as we sing: Holy, Holy, Holy – Lord we want to see and know You more! (Psalm 95:1-3, 6-7)

W@W WRAP – Week 213

Newness is found in Him! - May we receive this special gift from God – the gift of NEWNESS, the gift of HOPE. As the new year unfolds, may we learn from and build upon the past. May our hearts be still enough to receive Jesus’ love, hope and peace as we prepare to stand unmoved in our faith – trusting that God is truly in control! Remembering that our Lord will never fail us. He will and can restore and create ways, plans and dreams even when it seems impossible. (Philippians 3:13)

W@W WRAP – Week 212

Light and Peace... - Light is defined as: “Something that makes vision possible; electromagnetic radiation – such radiation that is visible to the human eye; something that illuminates darkness; it may be an inner light, an enlightenment, or truth”. As we read from John 1:5 (ESV): “The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it”. We are called to be light-bearers – to display Jesus’ love and compassion everywhere we go. When we live in the LIGHT, we are enlightened with the TRUTH. TRUTH brings FREEDOM. FREEDOM brings JOY. JOY brings PEACE into our hearts. And that is the gift our Lord Jesus came to give us! (John 14:27)

W@W WRAP – Week 211

Searching for God, finding God… - Unprecedented times bring challenge, struggle and loss, BUT they also create opportunities to prune, to cut back, to find rest, to re-prioritise and to focus on what is really important! This means we can look to 2021 with hearts filled with excitement and expectation, because we know that the One who overcame the world is on our side! He promises that if we seek Him wholeheartedly in all we do, we will find Him! So, let us be a people who maintain a posture of prayer, searching and inquiring of the Lord our God with every inch of our being. (Deuteronomy 4:29)

W@W WRAP – Week 210

Draw near to God… - There is absolutely nothing more precious in this life, than to be in the presence of our Lord. When we abide deeply in Christ, He gives us the strength and ability to endure anything that comes our way. He gives us the power stay steadfast in our faith as we grow and branch out to produce Kingdom-fruit – showering the world around us with His love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23). May we be a people who submit ourselves 100% to God in 2021. May our highest priority be to move our hearts closer and closer to our Lord, every day! (James 4:8a)

W@W WRAP – Week 209

God’s goodness and faithfulness will follow us all the days of our lives! - As we continue our journey through Psalm 23, let’s glorify our Father God for all He has done for us in 2020. Let’s ask Him to go before us in 2021 – to lay the table before us. Let’s respond to His invitation to be Lord over our lives; expecting His will, direction and blessings to flow in and through us. As we allow His GOODNESS and FAITHFULNESS to pursue us each day in 2021, we will find PEACE and HAPPINESS in the presence of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ! (Psalm 23:6)

W@W WRAP – Week 208

Glory Hallelujah to our Good, Loving and Faithful Shepherd King! - Psalm 23 may be one of the most familiar passages in the Bible, yet it provides us with life-giving hope and comfort as we journey through life. It reminds us that our good, good Shepherd not only cares deeply about every aspect of our lives; but that He provides for all of our needs, He protects us, He leads us, He is faithful to always be with us, and He even gave His own life to save us! May we worship and celebrate our Shepherd. May we sing: “Holy, Holy, Holy – Glory Hallelujah to our King and Saviour – now and forever!” (John 10:14-15)
