W@W WRAP – Week 416

Enter into the Rest of Jesus – In the midst of life’s busyness and stress, it is vital to embrace spiritual rhythms that draw us closer to God and restore His peace within us. By intentionally setting aside moments for silence, solitude, prayer, worship, scripture reading, gratitude, and fellowship, we create space to experience the fullness of our Lord’s presence. This festive season, let us step into the rest Jesus offers by quieting our hearts, trusting in His promises, and rejoicing in His presence. Let us remember that from rest flows restoration, and from restoration comes renewed strength, peace and hope. As we celebrate the birth of our Saviour, may His peace fill our hearts and His joy renew our spirits. May we dwell in the rest of Jesus, knowing that His love and faithfulness sustain us now and forever. (Matthew 11:28–30 & Psalm 23)

W@W WRAP – Week 415

Reflect, Rejoice, Release, Re-align and Remain in our Lord – As we approach the end of this year, let us pause to reflect on our journey. Whether filled with joy, victory, sorrow, or difficulty, each step has been intricately woven into God’s greater plan. Nothing we’ve faced, from moments of celebration to seasons of hardship, has been outside His sovereign care. Through it all, God has been faithful, guiding, sustaining, and working all things together for our good and His glory. As we look to 2025, may we seek His heart with renewed passion, aligning ourselves with His purpose and plans. May our lives be marked by a constant awareness of His presence and a deep trust in His wisdom, embracing the unknown with faith and confidence. Remember, in our Father’s hands, every moment becomes an opportunity for growth, renewal, and the fulfilment of His divine will. (Psalm 143:7, John 5:19 & 2 Timothy 4:7)

W@W WRAP – Week 414

Living by Faith – Faith is the foundation of our relationship with God – a complete reliance on His character, promises and plan. True faith goes beyond mere belief, calling us to trust in our Lord’s goodness, even when the outcomes are unclear. Faith invites us to move past the surface and experience the abundant life God has prepared for us. It is not just an intellectual exercise or a fleeting feeling; faith is a gift from God that permeates the very core of our being, shaping how we live each day. Faith requires vulnerability, honesty, surrendering control, and trusting in God’s wisdom above our own. Through prayer, obedience, and intimacy with Him, faith aligns our hearts with His incredible plans and empowers us to face life’s challenges with hope and confidence, resting in His unchanging faithfulness. (Hebrews 11:1 & 1 Corinthians 13:12)

W@W WRAP – Week 413

Even If… – Life’s journey often takes us to places where we stand on the promises of God yet struggle to see their fulfilment in the here and now. Deep in our hearts, we know that God is faithful, His Word never fails, and His plans for us are eternally good. We are redeemed and made new in Christ, destined for His greater purpose. Yet, in the middle – the space between God’s promises and their visible fulfilment – we sometimes wrestle with doubt, confusion, hurt, worry and waiting. So, what do we do during these challenging moments? We hold fast to this unshakable truth: "God makes everything beautiful in its time" (Ecclesiastes 3:11). His timing is perfect, His grace is sufficient, and His love never fails us. Even if the path feels unclear, even if the wait feels long, and even if the struggle feels overwhelming, we can trust that God is at work. His goodness and faithfulness follow us all the days of our lives and His promises stand forever. (Genesis 50:20, Isaiah 43:19 & Ecclesiastes 3:11)

W@W WRAP – Week 325

The Depths of Our Hearts… – We can only draw clean, pure water from a well that has clean, pure water. In the same way, we can only share God's Word and His plan, if it comes up from the depths of our hearts. What's deep down in our hearts determines the direction of our lives and flows from us to others. May we keep vigilant watch over our hearts, ensuring that Jesus is at the centre as we seek God and His Kingdom first in our lives! (Proverbs 4:23)

W@W WRAP – Week 294

Clothed in Goodness and Kindness! – When people look at you, what do they immediately think? Do they see you as a person ‘clothed in goodness and kindness' or someone who will pass judgment upon others? Do they see you reflecting Jesus or reflecting your own thoughts and attitudes? Do they see you as someone who rejoices and trusts in the Lord, even though you may be facing opposition? The world often reflects the exact opposite of how Our Lord wants us to behave. May our life-stories of hope, love, compassion, goodness and redemption always reflect God, so that we can bless and serve others… All for His renown and glory! (Proverbs 31:12 & 26)

W@W WRAP – Week 293

Appreciating Every Day of Life! – Every day is a special gift from the LORD, given 24 hours at a time. Jesus Himself reminded us to live one day at a time. He said, “Give us this day our daily bread!” (Matthew 6:11) He didn’t say ‘give me enough for two weeks, or a month,’ but for one day! May we live each and every day being ‘present’, knowing that we can trust in our Lord. His goodness and faithfulness enable us to enjoy all the blessings of each moment. This includes all aspects of our lives: our family, our friends, our physical needs being met, our promised eternal home, our confidence that Jesus will never leave us, our opportunities to serve Him and bear Kingdom-fruit, and so much more. (Deuteronomy 30:19-20)

W@W WRAP – Week 292

Is God’s Word hidden in your heart? – As we spend time reading and studying God’s Word, as well as in prayer, how many verses of the Bible have we hidden in our hearts? How many verses can you recite? We hide so many other things in our minds and hearts… phone numbers, historical facts, the lyrics to a favourite song… but what about the life-giving, eternity-changing Word of God? Our Lord showed us and taught us that memorising Scripture is vital to our well-being. (Psalm 119:11)

W@W WRAP – Week 291

What's your 'Recipe for Life'? – With today's modern technology, we only need to speak into our phones to get a recipe which ignites culinary delights. Just as there are certain ingredients, a certain order, certain timing, and even a certain temperature indicated in the recipe, our Lord presents in His Holy Word a recipe for life that lasts through eternity. The beauty of the Gospel is that we don't have to fear that we'll fail in our attempts to get the recipe right. Jesus is right beside us. He is our strength. He fills us with zeal to accomplish the task at hand, and nothing is too hard or impossible for Him. He will lead us as we grow and mature according to His master design for our lives. (Colossians 2:6-7; Ephesians 4:16; and Ephesians 2:10)

W@W WRAP – Week 290

Going through the fire! – Dear friend, what is going on in your life? Do you ever feel like you are going through the fire of difficult days or seasons? Do your challenges appear overwhelming at times? The wonderful news is that not only does our Lord know what is happening in our lives, but He speaks about these times through His Word, so that we can stay strong in the midst of the fire. Plus, He promises He will never ever leave our side, and we will receive peace and joy as we trust in Him. (1 Peter 1:6-9)
